Safety training for employees and employers
The employer, but also the employees, is responsible for occupational health and safety. Therefore, the employer must both create appropriate working conditions and train employees, providing instruction and instructions on safe behavior.
Initial occupational health and safety training
Initial training is carried out
before being allowed to work in a specific position. It includes general and on-the-job instruction.
The employee confirms completion of general and on-the-job training in writing in the initial training card kept in the employee's personal file. The template of the initial training card is specified in Annex No. 2 to the Regulation of the Minister of Economy and Labor of July 27, 2004 on training in the field of occupational health and safety.
Periodic occupational health and safety training
Periodic training is intended to update and consolidate knowledge and skills regarding occupational health and safety, as well as to familiarize employees with new technical and organizational solutions in this field.
The employer and other persons managing employees, in particular managers, foremen and foremen, should undergo the first periodic training within 6 months of starting work in these positions. Other employees within 12 months of starting work in a given position.
Supplementary occupational health and safety training
Supplementary occupational health and safety training provides the opportunity for continuous development in the field of occupational health and safety for each company and its employees.
Courses in fire protection or first aid provide the opportunity to expand knowledge in these areas, and therefore may be useful in the most unexpected situations. Because employee safety is the most important.
